NB 1.8.6 Issue

Hi

I have just received a update email for version 1.8.6. - the version I was using was 1.8.6 rc1 (Install file - swsetupe180rc1.exe).

On Installing the latest version, as soon as it started I got an error message on screen relating to a problem with an incompatible 'dll' file. I tried rebooting but every time the new version is loaded at start up and put on screen for the first time I get the same message. I have re-installed vs 1.8.6 rc1 which seems to have solved the problem.

I have no idea if it's relevant but I am running NB in Win 64 64 Bit.

Which exact message did you get? Is it:

Attention! The used DLL is not compatible!
This can happen when the installation has been incomplete.
To solve this error, please close Notesbrowser with the menu
entry "Exit" and execute the setup again.'

If yes, this error message that reports that the Notesbrowser program file "nb.exe" is from a different version than the file "nb.dll".

This looks like the setup did not overwrite the old "nb.dll" file. I could reproduce it with an old beta version and have corrected the setup right now.

Please download Notesbrowser setup again from:
http://www.notesbrowser.com/files/nbesetup.exe

Then exit Notesbrowser if it is running and install the above setup.

I've only just had a moment to check the Forum, anyway I have downloaded and installed vs 1.8.6 now without any problem.
