1.  Fundamentals

Type and forget:
Notesbrowser saves all notes automatically. Whenever you have an idea or need to note down
information quickly. First start Notesbrowser by clicking on its icon or use the hotkey F11
to bring it in the foreground; then type your information into a Notesbrowser text box,
press the ESC key and relax, your information has been saved.

You need never lose a telephone number again! Just set up a Notesbrowser List
and use it to store all your numbers.

Notesbrowser remembers your last action. When you open Notesbrowser,
it will always display your last saved Note.

It is easy to remember where you stored information because of the logical structure
of Notesbrowser that allows you to organise your information into Categories
and then into individual Pages within each Category. However if you do have trouble finding
a specific note, you can use Notesbrowser’s powerful search engine (see Section 2 below).
These features make Notesbrowser the most efficient information manager around!

Launch files and folders directly from within Notesbrowser:
So long as a file is properly associated with a Windows program you can launch if
from within Notesbrowser by either dragging and dropping its icon into a page or by entering
the file’s path and the name and doubleclicking them!

For example, suppose you have an MP3 file called C:\Music\Wham - Last Christmas.mp3
and you have associated MP3 files with Winamp. You only need to open the ‘Music’ folder,
drag and drop the appropriate file into a Notesbrowser Page. Then double click on the link
and Notesbrowser will automatically start Winamp and play your file for you.
This provides an easy way to link Notesbrowser to your other documents and programs.

Remember you can also form a link by typing in the file’s path and name.

Notesbrowser is easy to understand:
Most buttons are self-explanatory. If you don’t know what a button does, move the mouse
pointer over the button and wait a moment. A Help Box will pop up with a description of the
button’s function. You can safely use this method to test all the command buttons to see
what they do.

2.  Power Search

The Search Window is below the main Notesbrowser window, just under the Config button.
Enter a partial or whole word that you want to search for, then click on GO or press the
Enter key.

If any Notesbrowser Page contains the search text, it will be found in moments. If the text was found, you can search for the next appearance of the text by pressing Enter or the F3 function key. Please note that Notesbrowser is not case sensitive when conducting searches.
