Security

Post by Besidestillwaters »

I like Notebrowser, it is an incredible program, but I hope security will be added to the program. I would like it to be password protected to use and encrypted in its data form.

Hi Keith,
yes password protection would be good.

It is on our feature request list:

Excellent. I have just purchased the Lite version and I'll be using it for a lot of personal information, so it rather concerned me I had no way of protecting that information. I'm the only one that uses my laptop but if it should have to be taken in for repair then it would worry me.

Hi Crystyn,
first, thank you for buying Notesbrowser Lite!

The security topic is not easy to solve. I recommend at this time to use a encrypted disk drive to store Notesbrowser on it, and all your other personal data. This can for example be achived with the Freeware product TrueCrypt.
